贾德的父亲过世了，成年离家后偶尔相聚的兄弟姐因为父亲的遗愿，回老家守丧七天。已经许久没有长时间在一起的贾德一家人，在同一个屋檐下七天，会发生多少意料之外的状况呢？在父亲去世前，贾德还发现了老婆的外遇对象是自己的老板，导致他同时丢了老婆、房子和工作。经过七天的守丧，几乎天天24小时在一起，贾德发现，除了自己之外，他的家人都各有自己的问题，而他们的问题，又该怎么解决呢?。Jimmy is the only man who, after his divorce, still has to deal with his disapproving, meddling mother-in-law.
