警校学员林泽和陈梦是毫不相干的两类人，林泽智商超群、成绩优异，又因超人的侧写和现场还原能力，从大三开始就在滨江警队实习，而陈梦不学无术、赚钱为上，不仅在学校里私设擂台，还倒买倒卖各种“违禁品”，除了拥有一身好武艺，并看不出有任何突出的地方。然而，进了大四，毕业在即，滨江警队的名额和学校的留校名额，却都不偏不倚的落在了陈梦头上，两个人“不打不相识”，自此开始了他们纠葛的关系。。Plebs is described as "a thoroughly modern comedy in an ancient setting."
