卡门（玛鲁施卡•迪特马斯 Maruschka Detmers 饰）找到在医院住院的伯父戈达尔（让-吕克•戈达尔 Jean-Luc Godard 饰），借口和朋友拍摄电影向他要海边的别墅住。戈达尔状态怪诞，呆在医院里盼望着生病边写作，一边又渴望着能有拍片的机会，同意了卡门的要求。卡门在一场银行抢劫中结识了警察约瑟夫，两人搏斗后竟然互生好感相恋。卡门带约瑟夫来到了海边的别墅里。不久卡门对约瑟夫慢慢冷淡，约瑟夫却越来越离不开卡门，几次纠缠无果后他在卡门的一次抢劫行动中杀死了她。而伯父戈达尔却莫名其妙地被卷入了这场案件之中。而在平行世界的另一段，小提琴手克莱尔正安静地演奏弦乐四重奏......。This is the second film about the detective Feluda (Soumitra Chatterjee) set in the holy city of Benares, where he (along with his cousin, Topshe and friend, Lalmohan Ganguly) goes for a holiday.
