影片讲述了万香山脚有个黑顶子村，村里住着谢家三兄弟。某年冬天特别寒冷，谢老二违背了祖训，偷偷进山采参，谁知回来后就神秘死去。村中人都认为谢老二是因为触怒了山神，“山神降下了诅咒”才离奇死亡……。The story takes us back to 1889, in the wake of primary school teacher Louise Violet who is sent to a village in the French countryside to enforce Republic schooling (which is free, compulsory and secular). It’s a mission which secures her unpopularity, among children and parents alike…。
