The film was written and directed by Stuart Urban, and commissioned to mark the tenth anniversary of the Falklands War. The film was closely based on the historical record, and all of the major incidents portrayed were drawn from contemporary accounts by those who took part. Filming took place on the Falkland Islands and at Ealing Studios. Urban is a fluent Spanish-speaker, and plays an uncredited role as the Argentine radio operator.。宋末年间蒙古人欲统治中原，派出武功高强将军到少林寺以作窥探少林寺是否反之势力，事后得方丈证实不参与政事而离开。及后有一青年为偷元军师印而伤，逃到少林寺中逃避追杀事后元军得识大举追杀，那少年亦剃发出家僧人，在少林寺中遇到一名醉癫和尚，学到一身好功夫。亦在元军侵占少林寺时大显身手把元将军杀掉。。
